This role is remote-first, with our Atlanta, GA office serving as a hub for collaboration and leadership.

🚀 What You’ll Do

• Define and execute Trustwell’s database engineering roadmap to accelerate innovation.
• Design, build, and optimize data pipelines, architectures, and high-performance systems.
• Lead deployment, tuning, and scaling for PostgreSQL and SQL Server platforms.
• Partner with product, engineering, and leadership teams to turn research into production-ready solutions.
• Enhance system reliability, CI/CD pipelines, and automation for speed and scale.
• Mentor peers, share best practices, and foster a culture of engineering excellence.
• Provide on-call support and continuously improve system performance and resilience.

✅ What You Bring

• Expert-level knowledge of Database Management Systems (PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server).
• Proficiency in Go and/or Python, with strong knowledge of additional languages (Java, C, C#, SQL, Ruby, JavaScript, etc.).
• Experience with event-streaming/messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus/Event Hub).
• Hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong background in system design, scaling, performance tuning, and automation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible).
• 4+ years of PaaS/IaaS experience, with at least 3 years in architecture and design leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (Master’s preferred).
